Place biscuits in greased muffin tin, pressing to cover bottom and sides. Spoon about 1/4 c. of meat mixture into biscuit lined cups and sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 400 for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Shape House
This would be fun to do as an independant center activity, with Rebus cards to guide the children.
Ingredients per child:
1 slice of bread (square)
1/2 piece of cheese, sliced diagonally (triangle)
2 sweet pickle slices (circles)
1 strip of turkey or roast beef (rectangle)
Place 1 slice of bread on a plate. Place a triangle of cheese over the bread for the roof. Add 2 pickle slices for the windows. Add 1 strip of meat for the door. Eat your house!
Taco Salad
Layer the following ingredients in a large salad bowl in the order given:
2 large tomatoes, chopped
1 package Good Seasons salad dressing mixed according to directions on the package. (I usually cheat and use about 1 to 1-1/2 cups Italian dressing)
1 can drained kidley beans
1 medium onion, chopped fine
1 pound lean ground beef, cooked, drained, with 1 envelope taco seasoning added
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar and/or Jack cheese
1 large hed lettuce (we like Romaine), shredded.
Chill. When ready to serve, crumble an 8 oz. bag of Doritos, add to salad bowl. Toss and serve.
Tuna Sailboat
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1-6 ounce can of tuna fish, packed in water
1/4 cup celery, optional, chopped small
3 English muffins, cut in half horizontally
3 slices of American cheese, cut in half diagonally(from corner to corner, forming a triangle)
Drain tuna fish so that all the water is gone. Put into a medium sized bowl. Mash up using a fork. Add celery to tuna and mayonnaise, and mix well. Toast English muffins until golden brown in toaster. Top each English muffin half with tuna. Poke toothpick through cheese so it looks like a sail. Insert into English muffin half. Remember to remove toothpick before eating!
Upside Down Pizza
Brown hamburger then add pizza sauce. Put in a 9X13 pan. On top of that put whatever your family or dcks like on their pizza (pepperoni, g. pepper, onion, olives, etc.) then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese. Then piece canned crescent rolls on top and seal together by pinching. I sprinkle a little parmesan cheese on top of that. Bake about 350 until rolls browned.
Octopus Lunch
4 Knockwurst (or fat hotdogs will work too)
Cut each knockwurst almost in half lengthwise, leaving 3/4 inch uncut at the top. Turn knockwurst sideways and do the same so that there are four "legs" to the octopus. Place in boiling water 3 to 5 minutes (or until dogs are cooked). The "legs" will curl. Place on plate head up, optionally you can add some mustard for eyes, or use your imagination.
Chicken Crunch Casserole
2 1/2 cups diced cooked chicken
1 (10 1/2 oz.0 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup rich milk
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cups crushed potato chips
4 tbsp. sharp cheddar cheese
Paprika
Combine chicken, soup, milk and salt. Heat to boiling.
Spread 1 1/2 cups potato chips on bottom of greased 2 qt. casserole. Pour in chicken mixture. Cover with remaining chips; sprinkle cheese and paprika over top.
Bake in 350* oven 25 to 30 min. Makes 6 servings
